Fellowship Ministries has launched the most ambitious project yet: Shepherd's Canyon Retreat, a specialized counseling ministry for wounded professional church workers and their spouses (singles are welcome too). As many as five couples gather for eight days of intensive Christian therapy, centered around God's word and the healing and restoration that comes from His grace and mercy.
All of us are involved in some sort of ministry in our lives. If we follow the precepts of Christian belief, then most probably that ministry will involve some sort of servanthood, through receiving and giving to and from others. The possible examples are too numerous to mention and are all too familiar to each of you reading this. So let me focus on some ways in which my wife Eleanor and I have been recipients of the serving community of Landis Homes.
It's a simple concept that works! How often does a friend tell you that he or she has been waiting for an invitation to your home? In your mind, this person may not need an invitation. You have been to your friend's home often enough. But that person feels the need for an invitation to yours.
